She holds a Doctorate in Chiropractic Medicine as well as two Bachelors degrees in Kinesiology and in Human Biology. In her over 25 years of clinical experience, she has had the privilege to work with a wide variety of foot and ankle patients, including professional athletes from organizations not limited to the Phoenix Suns, New York Yankees, Cleveland Browns, New York Giants and the San Francisco 49ers.

She is the founder of Gait Happens, an education enterprise that is leading a paradigm shift in foot health education and intervention, oﬀering innovative solutions to reclaim optimal foot function and training that optimizes gait mechanics. Through science-

Dr. Jen Perez is the co-owner and Vice President of Gait Happens. As both an educator and a clinician, her mission is to empower as many people as possible to take charge of their lower body health so they can get back to what they love.

Dr. Perez holds a BS in Kinesiology-Sports Medicine and a Doctor of Chiropractic Degree. She has lectured internationally on foot and gait biomechanics and helped clients across the globe live healthier lives from the ground up. She completed her clinical residency in Jamaica working with Olympic and professional track and field athletes. She is credentialed in several movement assessment and treatment techniques such as Functional Movement Assessment, Fascial Distortion Model, Functional Movement Specialist, Dry Needling, etc.

Dr. Perez knows what it’s like to have pain stand in the way of your goals. This is what drives her to help as many people as possible get back to doing what they love. It’s this drive that inspired her to partner with Dr. Conley in creating Gait Happens for online courses, memberships and virtual consultations. In addition to her contributions to Gait Happens, Dr. Perez, along with her husband, Dr. Mark Perez, owns and operates Kinetic Chiropractic, in Lafayette, CO where she helps patients of all ages, backgrounds, and athletic abilities. Yes! This program is designed to benefit Every Human Sole! You can also take as much time as you need, the program is designed to be 12 weeks but if you want to spend extra time on any of the program you can repeat the programming and progress as you see fit.

All of the programs require a couple of items: A mobility ball, a foam roller, and a theraband. If these items are new to you, we recommend bundling the Gait Happens Foot Health Kit with your program. We also recommend having small to moderate hand weights available for the later phases of the program.

The Fit Feet Program is designed to improve your overall foot fitness. This means less pain and better performance for Every Human Sole.

However, if you feel your diagnosis may limit your ability to perform specific exercises, a Virtual Consultation may be a better option for you. As part of the consultation, you’ll get the one on one guidance of a Gait Happens clinician. This will ensure there’s nothing in the program you shouldn’t be doing. It’ll also give you the chance to discuss your diagnosis 1-on-1 with a clinician and you’ll get a personalized exercise plan curated just for you after the consultation.

I am completing the final phase of the Fit Feet Program from Gait Happens. It is one of the best online movement courses I have taken. It is well organized, adaptable and effective. I think this is the first time I’ve actually stuck with a course through the end!
First – they are very clear in how to proceed, what you will need for each segment and how long it should take. I appreciate the 20-25 minute segments – very doable. And you don’t need to change clothes or get sweaty even though you do some good work. I like that each segment has a written description of the moves below the video, so you can just scan down to see the number of reps. Now that I’ve been through it, one suggestion would be to time stamp each move so if I want to go to the ones that were really helpful to me, I could go right to it.
Second – Dr. Conley and Dr. Perez make a great team. Their rapport is wonderful and they play to each other’s strengths. They know their stuff and practice what they preach. They teach and demonstrate clearly and offer both progressions and regressions with no feeling of judgment. They help you meet yourself where you are. It feels like your smart friends are helping you get your feet stronger.
Third – the actual exercises work. The progression is sensible and the whole-body approach is spot on. I was coming off debilitating plantar fasciopathy - no longer acute, but I was still having to manage it and wear cushy shoes. I knew I needed to get my feet stronger and this program did it. Things I struggled with at the beginning have become easier AND I can comfortably wear shoes with less cushion and even go barefoot again.
Finally, Kajabi is an easy platform to navigate.

Life-Changing Foot Strength & Pain Relief – Highly Recommend the Fit Feet Program!

I’ve struggled for years with Morton's neuroma in my left foot and metatarsalgia in both feet. The burning pain on the top of my foot and in the ball of my feet made long walks impossible and left my entire left leg exhausted by the end of the day. After trying orthotics, supportive shoes, steroids, and PT with limited success, I decided to try the Gait Happens Fit Feet Program.

I’m so glad I did!

After just a few weeks of the 20-minute follow-along videos, I noticed real improvements in foot strength — my toes spread better, my arches feel stronger, and I finally have some of that natural “bounce” back that I thought was gone forever. The phased approach (mobility → strength → power) is easy to follow at home with almost no equipment, and the videos are perfect for all levels.

Most importantly, my Morton's neuroma pain has significantly decreased, and my metatarsalgia is so much more manageable. I can now walk longer distances without my left leg tiring out as quickly, and I’m actually enjoying being on my feet again as a preschool teacher.

If you have foot pain and want to rebuild real strength instead of just masking symptoms, this program is worth every penny. Dr. Courtney and Dr. Jen know their stuff — they’ve helped me go from feeling limited and frustrated to feeling hopeful and capable again.
