Gait Happens Toe spacers are designed to improve the spacing and alignment of the toes, which can help your feet be better able to assist with balance, shock absorption, and movement. The toe spacers assist in splaying (spreading / separating) the toes with a design that fits your daily life and can be worn on the go in proper footwear.

  • Support alignment of the toes and metatarsals
  • Promote muscle engagement of the foot intrinsics
  • Combat the effects of years in narrow shoes
  • Customizable to create a personalized fit
  • Can be worn in proper footwear and while on the go!

Please see product pictures for our sizing chart. If you are choosing between sizes we recommend choosing the smaller size.

Toe spacers are also commonly known as toe spreaders or toe separators.

As a senior long distance backpacker who doesn’t want to hike with people my age, I’m needing to become more efficient at this endeavor. After reviewing the Gait Happens website for simple things that could help, I ordered their toe spacers, primarily because I could wear them while also wearing the shoes I most often wear- Altra Lone Peaks. These toe spacers are very comfortable inside my shoes and for the most part, I forget that I have them on my feet. It’s been only two weeks with using them full time but, I’m starting to see some small improvements, such as more force while driving off my big toe and my step is in slightly better forward alignment as I walk. As I mentioned, these improvements are not big things but for me, when hiking for months at a time, the little things matter.

Liking them. Working into them slowly.

Toe spacers are a bit hard to get on due to my little toe wanting to lean in to the other toes. Once they are on they feel good. They feel the best when I am bare footed around the house. When I put on shoes (wide toe boxed shoes) they become a bit painful if I wear them too long. I'm following your suggestion to only wear them a short time at first. I love seeing my toes evenly spaced vs big toe leaning in to the other toes, etc.

I first bought the toe bands which I like. But I love the toe separators. They are helping tremendously. My foot pain has improved since using both products. Im so grateful for finding this company. Grateful for there products and videos showing me how to strengthen my feet, ankles, calves, ect.
