Gait Happens Toe spacers are designed to improve the spacing and alignment of the toes, which can help your feet be better able to assist with balance, shock absorption, and movement. The toe spacers assist in splaying (spreading / separating) the toes with a design that fits your daily life and can be worn on the go in proper footwear.

  • Support alignment of the toes and metatarsals
  • Promote muscle engagement of the foot intrinsics
  • Combat the effects of years in narrow shoes
  • Customizable to create a personalized fit
  • Can be worn in proper footwear and while on the go!

Please see product pictures for our sizing chart. If you are choosing between sizes we recommend choosing the smaller size.

Toe spacers are also commonly known as toe spreaders or toe separators.

For a non-custom set of toe spacers, these are pretty darned good. The quality of design and the molding of the spacers is very good. I like that I don't have to keep track of left and right. They're wearable in my Lem's Primal Pursuit shoes during an hour's walk easily. Perhaps wearing them with regularity will make them less noticeable, but maybe the goal isn't to 'not feel' them?

I dont put on shoes without them.

They are too hard to wear and walk around in. They eventually fall off. I was hoping I could just hang out in them.

I’ve had these toe spacers for a couple of weeks now. They feel great when I’m sitting around and not putting weight on my feet, and I can wear them comfortably all day in that situation. The problem starts as soon as I stand or move around—my toe pads get pinched.

I followed the manufacturer’s video advice and trimmed the scales back, but even after cutting more and eventually removing the entire bottom, they still pinch from time to time. It’s less severe now, but often requires taking off my shoes and socks to readjust.

They only work for me with very wide toe box shoes and loose socks. If I try to wear them with narrow footwear—like cycling shoes—it’s incredibly painful and basically unwearable. On the other hand, they feel great when I’m walking around in my Birkenstocks.

Overall: decent for lounging or wearing with my Birks, but not practical for sports or narrow footwear. Trimming helps, but the pinching issue isn’t fully resolved.
